Giraffe Manor

Not sure if you're a comment reader (I am, I love to see what conversation blogs generate) but Anabel had a point the other day...that photograph by Karen Knorr is very much like the Giraffe Manor in Kenya.

The house was built in 1932 by a Scot (and meant to look like a Scottish manor) and has since become a haven for the endangered Rothschild giraffe. A school has been built to allow local children to learn conservation and now you can stay there too! Check out their website for more info, or to dream of Africa, read Heather's post on Habitually Chic - I could not say it better myself!
